PROVO, Utah-BYU baseball senior outfielder Brock Hale was named to the All-West Coast Conference preseason team this week.

Last season, Hale was a first-team all-WCC selection by amassing eight home runs.

He also bat .342 and posted 67 hits, 40 runs, 31 RBI, 15 doubles and seven stolen bases while starting all 50 of the Cougars’ games last season.

Also, d1baseball.com named Hale their WCC preseason player of the year.

Perfectgame.org lists Hale as the “best pure hitter” in the WCC as well.

The Cougars commence their season Friday February 15 against Northwestern of The Big Ten conference at Sloan Park of Mesa, Ariz.
