PROVO, Utah-Wednesday, BYU baseball head coach Mike Littlewood announced the Cougars’ schedule for the upcoming 2020 campaign.
The Cougars will commence their slate at Surprise, Ariz. for a four-game series.
They will first draw fellow West Coast Conference member Gonzaga in a non-conference tilt February 14. This will be followed by a doubleheader against New Mexico February 15 and on February 17, the Cougars face 2018 College World Series champion Oregon State.
The Cougars will then face Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo, Calif. February 20-22 and visit Albuquerque, N.M. to face New Mexico again February 27-29.
BYU’s home opener at Miller Park is against crosstown rival Utah Valley March 3 and will face Oklahoma State from the Big 12 Conference March 5-7 at Stillwater, Okla.
The Cougars will then commence their WCC season March 12 as they host Loyola Marymount for a three-game series.
During the conference season, the Cougars will play several non-conference games mid-week at various points on the schedule.
These include three games against Utah, including two at Miller Park and a home-and-home series against Boise State (as the Broncos are bringing baseball back for the first time in 40 years).
Additional non-conference games will be at Oregon and Utah Valley and a Senior Day home date against California Baptist May 4.
The WCC Tournament is slated for May 21-23 and the NCAA Baseball Tournament commences May 28.
