PROVO, Utah-Friday, BYU and San Diego State men’s basketball confirmed they will play a home-and-home series in 2020 and 2021.

The Aztecs will host the Cougars December 1, 2020 with San Diego State visiting the Marriott Center the following season. The date for that contest has not yet been determined.

The Aztecs took a 76-71 decision over the Cougars last season at Provo November 9.

The Cougars and Aztecs each had successful 2019-20 campaigns as BYU posted a 24-8 record with San Diego State going 30-2 and concluding the season with the No. 6 national ranking.

These two squads, who were conference rivals in both the Western Athletic and Mountain West conferences have a long history on the hardwood.

The Cougars lead the all-time series 48-26.
