Big 12 Names Roc Nation Exec As New Commissioner

(Irving, TX) — A college sports outsider appears to be the new head of the Big 12 conference.

Sports Illustrated reports the Power Five league will name Roc Nation COO Brett Yormark as its new commissioner.

Yormack has spent the last three years with the talent agency owned by rapper Jay-Z. While there he’s worked with athletes, artists and brands while also overseeing sponsorship and licensing. He will takeover the Big 12 leadership position at an important time for the conference as it will lose two key members in Texas and Oklahoma in 2025.
