Romney came to the Cougars’ program in 2018 after starring at Franklin High School in northwest El Paso, Texas.
Romney excelled when called upon by the Cougars, going 4-1 in five starts.
Romney, who will be a junior in eligibility if he decides to play college football elsewhere, completed 67 percent of his passes (134-200) for 1,787 yards, 14 touchdowns and three interceptions during his time with the Cougars.
