Badgers Earn Milestone Win at Southern Idaho

TWIN FALLS, Idaho-After getting off to a slow start on Thursday against Southern Idaho, the No. 5 Snow College women’s volleyball team came storming back to win the next three sets and hold off the Golden Eagles, 3-1.

With the win, the Badgers improved to 27-2 overall and 7-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play. The win equals a school rally scoring record for most wins in a single season.

Thursday’s victory also marked the 100th win for the Badgers during the Jeff Reynolds coaching era.

Freshman Korrin Thornock and sophomore Andreanna McKee each had a team-best nine kills for the Badgers in the win over the defending national champions. Sophomore Bridget Triplett came off the bench to chip in eight kills and six blocks. Freshman Lydia Montague added seven kills and also had six blocks. Freshman Ellee Anderson was credited with a match-high 30 assists.

Defensively, Sarah Morley was credited with a team leading 18 digs, followed by Thornock and Savannah Tanner who had 13 digs each.

Snow will next travel to Salt Lake Community College on Saturday. Match time is slated for 1:00 pm.
