DENVER-Monday, Utah Valley sophomore center Fardaws Aimaq was named the WAC men’s basketball player of the week for his attainments.

As the Wolverines bested Seattle U. (67-52) and California Baptist (63-54) last week, Aimaq recorded his 24th and 25th double-doubles of the season.

Aimaq is presently averaging 19.2 points and 13.8 rebounds per game for the Wolverines.

Aimaq and his Utah Valley teammates conclude the regular season this week by visiting Grand Canyon Thursday and New Mexico State Saturday.
