(Parowan, UT) — A write-in candidate is set to become the first woman to become mayor of Parowan. Mollie Halterman conducted a write-in campaign in the southern Utah town using the slogan “Good Golly, write-in Mollie.” Voters liked her style, as her name was marked on just over 49-percent of the ballots turned in. Once the results are official, she will become the first woman elected mayor in the 170-year history of Parowan.
