Winter storm warning: several inches of snow to drop in Central Utah

Winter’s first blast of snow is here for most of the state.

The National Weather service has issued a winter storm warning that will run till Thursday afternoon for Washington County, Iron County, Beaver County and Millard County.

Forecasters say up to eight inches of snow could be on the ground before sunset Wednesday.

Several inches are expected along the I-15 corridor Wednesday night.

The snow is expected to taper off gradually Thursday with low temperatures dipping into single digits in spots as well.
