Wildfire Causes Power Shutoffs Near Beaver

(Beaver, UT) — A wildfire burning near Beaver prompted power shutoffs yesterday. Dubbed the “Sheep Rock Fire”, authorities say it’s burned at least 77 acres of land so far, and it began on private property. The shutoff caused 400 customers to lose power near Minersville last night, but power has since been restored. Fire officials say crews have stopped the fire’s forward progress, and its cause is being investigated.
