Resources from multiple agencies responded on July 9 to a new wildfire located south of Kanosh, east of interstate 15 near mile marker 143.

Currently, erratic winds are pushing the fire to the north, and multiple engines and a hand crew are working to suppress what is being referred to as the Baker Fire in Millard County.

As of the evening of July 9 the fire has burned an estimated 600 acres. One northbound lane on I-15 has been temporarily closed to allow firefighters to safely operate.
