Wide Mouth Fire Expands To More Than 600 Acres

(Millard County, UT) — The Wide Mouth Fire has now exceeded 600 acres. A lightning strike sparked the blaze Saturday afternoon in Fishlake National Forest near Dog Valley Mountain, south of Kanosh. It grew six times its original size within the first 24 hours. It’s burning west of the Monroe Canyon Fire, the largest wildfire so far this season in Utah. It’s been burning since July 13th, and has consumed more than 73-hundred acres.
