(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Cox is asking Utahns to remember the sacrifices made by members of the military during the course of their service to the United States. Cox paid tribute to service members who have died as well as those who were present at the State Capitol during a Memorial Day ceremony yesterday. Cox said the United States was formed on the idea that all people are created equal, and that the military has protected that idea ever since. He asked all Utahns to stop fighting about things that don’t matter and remember that nothing on Earth is more important than life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
