UVU Censured By Faculty For ‘Mismanagement Of COVID-19’

(Orem, UT) – Two faculty groups at Utah Valley University are writing letters of censure against the school’s administration over its handling of COVID-19. The American Association of University Professors and the American Federation of Teachers say that President Astrid Tuminez and other administrators have allowed unsafe and unhealthy conditions to persist in spaces shared by the UVU community. The groups also says the university’s COVID-19 protocols are weak and unenforceable measures “tailored to accommodate” the unvaccinated and unmasked.
