(St. George, UT) — The Mojave Desert tortoise is in grave danger. Since 1990, efforts have been made to save the threatened species but since then have declined by more than 50-percent according to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. New concerns are being made about the Trump era federal North Corridor Highway and its pending approval. The road would affect 30-thousand acres of critical tortoise habitat.
