Utah To Get $266 Million To Combat Opioid Crisis

(Salt Lake County, UT) — The State Of Utah will receive 266-million dollars to help combat the opioid epidemic. Salt Lake County officials laid out plans for how it will spend the 57-million dollars earmarked from a major settlement with painkiller manufacturers. Mayor Jenny Wilson and District Attorney Sim Gill say the funds will go to addiction resources, including new treatment facilities and healthcare workers.
