(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Supreme Court is considering the appeal of a former Utah State University football player convicted of rape and sexual assault. Lawyers for Torrey Green claimed yesterday that he did not receive a fair trial in 2019 because six different cases were combined into one trial. Lawyers for the state dismissed claims that the allegations against Green were fabricated by the victims. Green is serving a prison sentence of 26-years-to-life following his conviction. The court will consider the arguments made during the hearing before making a ruling.
