(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Supreme Court will decide what’s next for Amendment D. The court on Friday agreed to take the case. A lower court judge last week said Amendment D would stay on the November ballot, but votes for and against the amendment wouldn’t be counted because the amendment’s language is confusing. The League Of Women Voters challenged Amendment D, which would allow lawmakers at the state capitol to override and replace ballot initiatives. The Supreme Court says oral arguments will come in the next couple of weeks.
