(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah Red Cross is sending volunteers to Florida as Hurricane Ian approaches. The American Red Cross of Utah members will join the more than 500 volunteers in the state. Ian is just shy of a massive Category 5 storm with 155 mile per hour winds as it approaches Florida’s west coast. The storm is expected to make landfall later today in Charlotte County, north of Fort Meyers.
