SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Salt Lake City police has confirmed one woman died and a man was critically injured in a shooting at Windsor Park Apartments.

Police say 56-year-old Leticia Smith died after being transferred to the hospital Tuesday and was identified by authorities Wednesday.

Police say the other person who was shot is in critical condition at the hospital.

Authorities say the shooting happened inside of an apartment.

Police say they do not know the circumstances behind the shooting but that an investigation indicates it could have been a domestic dispute.

Neighbors told KUTV-TV that they heard two or three shots and found a male and a female wounded.

An investigation is ongoing.

Authorities say anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police.
