Utah Officials Plead For Safety And Caution Ahead Holiday Weekend

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Public safety officials are calling for people to be cautious and careful as they celebrate Pioneer Day. The National Weather Service issued an excessive heat warning for much of Utah. Forecasters say residents near Salt Lake City can expect temperatures to be in the mid-100s Saturday and Sunday while St. George residents can expect temperatures above 110 degrees. Officials say Stage one fire restrictions have put in place across portions of northern Utah.
