Utah authorities have confirmed a man is recovering from facial injuries after he was hit in the face by a drone in downtown Salt Lake City. KUTV-TV reported that Salt Lake City police have located the licensed drone operator who was attempting to land his drone on the sidewalk Monday near Temple Square. Authorities say the drone accidentally flew into the man’s face during its descent. He suffered injuries requiring medical attention. Authorities say the operator’s actions were not criminal but that he could face consequences from the Federal Aviation Administration. It prohibits operators from flying drones over people.
