(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah State Legislature is set to spend roughly 40-million dollars on flood relief. Governor Spencer Cox called a special session on Wednesday, which will shuffle money around to help. Roughly 20-million of it will go to snow removal and avalanche control, with five-million addressing flood damage. Governor Cox will also ask legislature to modify a gun bill, and alter legislation on firefighter retirement benefits.
