Utah Lawmakers Hurrying To Pass Bills Ahead Of Adjournment

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah lawmakers are making a final push to get their bills through the legislature with just two days to go in the session. The House and Senate are set to adjourn at midnight tomorrow and lawmakers will spend much of their time putting the final touches on bills dealing with the state budget. The state Senate passed a bill yesterday to offer all-day kindergarten in Utah schools. Bills expected to pass in the final two days would crack down on social media companies and give parents an easier path to sue those companies. Over 900 bills were proposed during this year’s session.
