(St. George, UT) — Authorities in southern Utah and across the state are going to step up their enforcement of seat belt laws. The Utah Highway Patrol and state Department of Public Safety’s “Click It or Ticket” campaign begins today and will run through June 4th. Dozens of agencies in the Beehive State will be adding extra patrols over the next two weeks to make sure Utahns are buckling up ahead of the busy summer travel season. Officials say nearly a third of deadly crashes in the state over the last five years involved somebody who was unrestrained in the car.
