(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah is joining another lawsuit against COVID-19 vaccination mandates imposed by the Biden Administration. The lawsuit filed yesterday seeks to overturn a mandate requiring coronavirus vaccinations for workers at healthcare facilities that accept Medicaid and Medicare funding. Utah and 11 other states are challenging the mandate, saying the federal government is trying to take away a constitutional power that should belong solely to each state. The court filing also claims the Biden Administration is ignoring the ongoing healthcare labor shortage by forcing employees to choose between getting vaccinated or losing their jobs.
