(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah is adding jobs and the unemployment rate is staying low. The state added nearly 49-thousand jobs over the past 12 months, according to the latest figures from the Department of Workforce Services. That’s a two-point-nine percent increase. Meanwhile, the state’s unemployment rate remained at two-point-three percent, one of the lowest jobless rates in the U.S. and nearly a percent and-a-half lower than the national rate of three-point-seven percent.
