Utah GOP Chairman Bowing Out

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah Republican Party Chair Carson Jorgensen is bowing out. Jorgensen said earlier this month he won’t run for a second term as leader of the state’s dominant political party when his term is up next month. The sheep rancher from Sanpete County said it’s time to turn the reins over to someone else. Jorgensen said he’s planning to run for elective office in 2024 but hasn’t yet decided which office that will be. He unsuccessfully challenged Congressman Chris Stewart in the 2020 Republican primary.
