(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Food Bank is beginning to create an infrastructure to identify, track and distribute culturally responsive foods across the state. They will pilot the program in Salt Lake County. The food bank will be updating its software, tracking systems and warehouse space, and increasing staff to better track the different foods needed in Salt Lake County neighborhoods. This is funded through a ten-thousand-dollar grant provided by KeyBank. When adjusted for population size, Utah ranks eleventh for refugees accepted per capita.
