Utah family looking for plaque taken from daughter’s grave

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah (AP) — The family of a Utah girl is hoping to find or replace a plaque taken from her grave.

KUTV-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2sTtGmy ) Leslie Meyer’s family went to visit her grave in Cottonwood Heights on Saturday when they saw that her memorial plaque was missing. Meyer died 10 years ago in a car crash. She was 12-years-old.

Meyer’s aunt says it looked like someone had torn out the girl’s photo. She was offering a $100 reward for the return of the plaque.

A representative from the cemetery where Meyer is buried says replacing plaque typically cost $400 or more. They say the cemetery will help the family to replace it.
