Utah County Starts Criminal Investigation Of Prop 4 Repeal Signatures

(Provo, UT) — Utah County is opening a criminal investigation into signatures that are being collected as part of an effort to repeal Proposition 4. The GOP group behind the repeal effort says they support the investigation. Utah County Clerk Aaron Davidson says about 300 signatures have been disqualified. Some of the signatures include inaccurate information that leads officials to believe fraud is taking place. The signatures are being collected in an effort backed by Republicans to repeal Prop 4. That’s the measure voters passed in 2018 that creates a non-partisan redistricting commission to draw political boundaries.
