(Taylorsville, UT) — A bird flu outbreak in Utah won’t affect those Thanksgiving feasts. That word from the Department of Agriculture and Food, ensuring there will be enough turkeys to go around. But producers are still facing challenges. At least 16 farms have been impacted by the disease so far. The first national case since 2016 was detected in Utah County in April and last month more than 400-thousand turkeys died or had to be put down.
