(Provo, UT) — One of only two remaining survivors of the sinking of the USS Arizona on December 7th, 1941 is gone. The National Park Service says Howard “Ken” Potts died Friday in Provo, Utah at the age of 102. According to “Stars and Stripes,” his death leaves 101-year-old Lou Conter as the last remaining survivor of the battleship that sank to the bottom of Pearl Harbor after the surprise attack. Flags over the USS Arizona memorial have been lowered to half-staff to honor Potts.
