The United States Department of Agriculture has announced plans to invest $3.3 million into water infrastructure in Sanpete County. Officials stated that “this funding will ensure Pine Creek Ranch Owners Association 450 residents and businesses, have access to clean, safe and reliable water for many years.”
The $3.3 million loan will be used to construct a new water storage tank, replace main water lines, add additional water lines and two pump stations. USDA Rural Development Utah State Director Michele Weaver said that “updating water systems is especially important to protect the health of rural communities,” and that “the USDA is happy to invest in projects that serve local households and businesses, because with these upgrades, life in these communities have greater potential to thrive.”
