(Salt Lake City, UT) — University of Utah police are investigating after a campus symbol was vandalized last week. The LGBT Resource Center announced yesterday that duct tape containing hateful messages was placed on the “Block U” on March 31st, which was also Transgender Day of Visibility. The Block U had been wrapped in rainbow colors last week to help promote the university’s Pride Week. The incident was also reported to the school’s Racist and Bias Incident Response Team.
