Unofficial results from Utah’s primary elections have been released.
In the republican race for governor Spencer Cox is currently leading with 37.03% of the votes. In second is Jon Huntsman Jr. with 34.26% of the votes. Third is Greg Hughes pulling in 20.71% of the votes. Lastly Thomas Wright is in 4th place with 8.00% of the votes.
In the republican race for attorney general Sean Reyes is leading with 54.44% of the votes and in second is David Leavitt with 45.56% of the votes.
In the republican race for U.S. house 4 Burgess Owens is currently in first with 43.53% of the votes. In second is Kim Coleman with 23.85% of the votes. In third is Jay McFarland with 21.63% of the votes and in fourth is Trent Christensen with 10.99% of the votes.
In Utah’s 2 congressional district Chris Stewart (incumbent) won the republican bid by default with no opponents.
In the republican race for state house 58 Steven Lund is leading with 55.20% of the votes and in second is Clinton Painter with 44.80% of the votes.
In the senate, representing Utah, Ralph Okerlund did not run for re-election for district 24, which covers Juab, Piute, Sanpete, Sevier, Tooele and Wayne Counties. Derrin Owens defeated Mike Styler in the Republican convention on April 25.
