UHP Reminds Utahns To Drive Sober After Driver Tests At Five Times DUI Limit

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Highway Patrol is using a weekend DUI arrest to remind drivers to be sober when they get behind the wheel. A state trooper was working a DUI patrol in Weber County when he found a vehicle that was failing to stay in its lane. The vehicle went into the center median and got stuck, and the trooper tested the driver for impairment. The driver’s blood-alcohol level was more than seven times the legal limit of point-oh-five. The agency urges drivers to find another way home anytime they decide to drink.
