(Millard County, UT) — The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating a woman found dead along I-15 in Millard County. Troopers say the victim was found a distance from her car that was parked off the highway between Holden and Fillmore.

Troopers initially responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on southbound I-15 at about 11:30 p.m. Nov. 9. According to reports the vehicle was stuck in mud but had no damage.

A truck driver stopped and told troopers of a body lying on the shoulder of the freeway near the location, where troopers found the body. The woman’s name and age have not yet been released to the public.

Troopers stated that the woman was the registered owner of the vehicle. An investigation of what led up to the individual dying and her car ending up on the side of the road is underway.
