(Salt Lake City, UT) — A U. English professor is named as Utah’s new poet laureate. The Utah Division of Arts and Museums has appointed Paisley Rekdal as the official advocate for literature and arts throughout the state. She’s expected to create a website that maps the writers and poets of Utah, and various literary publications in the state.
