Two Orderville teens are facing charges of aggravated arson after a fire in Richfield in Walmart Sunday Evening.
According to Richfield City Police Chief Trent Lloyd, 19-year-old Aria Clark and another 15-year-old went into the garden center and started the fire around 5 p.m. The fire quickly did a lot of damage.
The State Fire Marshal was in the store at the time and the blaze was put out quickly, but the estimated cost of the damage is over tens of thousands of dollars.
The teens took off in a car that was later pulled-over in Panguitch by a Garfield County Sheriff’s Deputy.
According to Chief Lloyd, the two admitted to starting the fire, but gave no reason as to why.
Clark is facing an aggravated arson charge, a first degree felony. The 15-year-old juvenile is facing aggravated arson and possession of marijuana charges.
