Two new cases of COVID-19 in the Central Utah Health District

Two more cases of COVID-19 in the Central Utah Health District were announced over the weekend.

Central Utah Public Health Department Health Officer Nate Selin shared that there is now one more case in Juab county and one more case in Millard county.

According to Selin, the state coronavirus website currently shows five cases in the Central Utah Health District, but one of those cases was reported from someone’s old address and that case will be taken off the total for this health district.

When asked whether or not the two new cases were caused by the cases already in the district, Selin stated that “the second case in Millard was an exposure to another confirmed case. The second case in Juab was community exposures, meaning we can’t link it back to a confirmed case.”
