Two Dead in Two Days After Falling Off Separate Cliffs in Emery County

Two men have died in two days in Emery county after falling off of separate cliffs. The first incident happened on Apr. 15 in the Upper Black Box. According to reports Craig Barlow, age 50 from Salt Lake City, was sitting on a boulder near a ledge when the ledge broke loose and he fell about 50 feet. He was taken by helicopter to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The second incident happened on Apr. 16 in Farnsworth Canyon. According to reports Arlo Lott, age 41 from Steamboat Springs Colorado, fell about 70 feet after his rappelling anchor broke while rappelling. Despite first responders administering life saving efforts Lott was pronounced dead at the scene.
