Trump Proposes Sending Relief Checks Directly To Americans

WASHINGTON-Tuesday, during a coronavirus task briefing Tuesday, United States President Donald Trump expressed his confidence that the nation would win over COVID-19.

In citing the restrictions imposed upon the American public during a Monday meeting with the press, Trump said the nation can get rolling again “pretty quickly,” if the guidelines set forth are kept.

Trump continued by saying that U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, Steven Mnuchin, is meeting with senators on additional stimulus packages, at his direction.

The administration is presently looking at relief for the airline industry to loans for small businesses and to financial flexibility for fast food workers.

Mnuchin then announced the administration is looking to directly send checks to households in dire need of some financial relief from this outbreak.

This will possibly occur within the next two weeks and Trump confirmed these statements, saying “I think we’ll do something to get money to them as quickly as possible.”

Mnuchin said the president has commanded him to do this immediately.
