(Nephi, UT) — State troopers say a traffic stop for speeding and a seat belt violation ended with them finding six pounds of meth and a pistol. It happened earlier this week on I-15 near Nephi. Troopers say they pulled over the driver of a minivan at 2:11 a.m. The State Police say 33-year-old Samuela Mafileo was driving with a woman and a child in the van. Troopers say he was driving 85 in an 80, and didn’t have his young child buckled-in. After searching the van, troopers say they found the meth and a pistol with an extended magazine in a backpack. Mafileo is in jail, and facing a laundry list of charges.
