Three runaway teens from Cedar City have been located after a multi day search by family and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office. The teens were reported missing Feb. 10, and after investigating for several hours, deputies discovered the teens were possibly camping in an undisclosed location.
The search continued through the next day and deputies believed the teens to be somewhere in the Glendale Bench area. That afternoon a family member found items believed to belong to the teens and Kane County Search and Rescue was activated.
Shortly before noon on Feb. 12, Kane County Dispatch received a tip about the youths location, including GPS coordinates. Family members had received a call from the kids and had located them by the time deputies arrived on scene.
The teens were checked out and found to be healthy and uninjured and were released to their families.
