Three Killed in House Fire in Delta

Update: The names of the victims have been released by the Utah Medical Examiner’s Office. Officials say Michael Smith Sr., Ronald Smith, and Patty Warren died. The Millard County Sheriff’s Office also confirms there was an explosion in the fire. Two people and a pet dog survived.

 

Around 4:35 p.m. Apr. 16, emergency personnel responded to a structure fire in Delta after reports of an explosion at a home at 35 West 300 South. In a press release from the Millard County Sheriff’s Office the tragic news was shared that three individuals died in the fire.

The state fire marshal’s office has been called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. The victims are yet to be identified pending proper notifications. This is a developing story and we will update with more information as it becomes available.
