(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah health officials are reaching out to thousands of Medicaid recipients due to a massive mailing error. The Department of Health and Human Services says the personal medical information of nearly six-thousand people may have been mailed to the wrong recipients. The issue was first noticed last month. Some of those letters include peoples’ social security numbers. The department says anyone who was affected by the mailing error can enroll in credit monitoring services at no cost.
