(Washington, DC) — Text messages show U.S. Senator Mike Lee of Utah had a part in the Trump administration’s attempt to change the 2020 election result. Lee messaged chief of staff Mark Meadows about a strategy from legal advisor John Eastman to have states present an alternate slate of electors to vote for Donald Trump and not Joe Biden. He said that strategy was better than what was proposed by advisor Sidney Powell. Lee’s office says he voted to certify the election, following the Constitution.
