(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Cox thinks tech companies and the state government should work together to provide better opportunities for all Utahns. Cox spoke yesterday during the Silicon Slopes summit in Salt Lake City. Cox said he sees some tension between the growing tech industry and Utah’s goal to create upward mobility for all Utahns. But, he said the two sides can work toward preserving Utah values and provide opportunity for all. The governor also said tech companies should focus on expanding to parts of the state beyond the Salt Lake Valley, hinting that incentives meant to attract those companies to Utah may soon come to an end.
