(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah’s annual swan hunt is closing two-and-half-weeks early. The Division of Wildlife Resources says hunters breached the 20-bird quota for trumpeter swans as the birds migrate from the Yellowstone region. DWR says it will likely require hunters to take a bird identification court next year since trumpeters are killed too often.
